I
started my career with the Lee’s
Summit Police Department in April of 1992. Shortly after that I moved to Lee’s Summit where I
currently live with my wife and son.
I
joined the Dare Unit in August of 2005 where I taught 7th grade at
Campbell and Pleasant Lea
Middle School. In August of 2007 I expanded teaching in
the elementary schools. I currently
teach 7th grade at Pleasant Lea Middle School, 2nd, 4th,
and 6th grade at the following elementary schools: Cedar Creek,
Highland Park, Longview, and Pleasant Lea.
During
my career with the Lee’s Summit Police Department I’ve worked in the patrol
division on all three shifts, days, evenings, and midnights. Some of my special assignments have
included working in the Special Investigation Division as a Detective,
serving as an acting Sergeant, and serving as a Field Training Officer for
over ten years.
I’m
currently a member of the Bike Unit, Honor Guard Unit, and serve as one of four
drivers training instructors who provide training to the department members
and city wide employees.
I
have received the following awards during my career with the Lee’s Summit
Police Department: One Lifesaving, two
Meritorious Service Awards and two Letters of Commendation.
My
hobbies and interests outside the police department include, fishing, racing
radio controlled cars, coaching indoor and outdoor soccer, scouting, and
spending time with my family.
