Currently there are 11 Lee’s Summit Police Officers assigned to the Lee’s Summit School District. Seven School Resource Officers, one for each middle school and one for each high school in our district. There are also four D.A.R.E Officers assigned to educate our students on the dangers of drugs. In addition, to their normal duties, these officers enhance the level of drug and alcohol education in our community. They attend numerous events throughout the city involving the youth of our community, teach safety classes, assist our schools with events, mentor young people, sit on committees such as the Coalition Against Underage Drinking and administer the Youth Court Program.
